Card Sharks

What:
Card Sharks is a volunteer-led math enrichment opportunity. Kids play a variety of card games and board games to practice and develop math skills – and hopefully learn that math can be FUN!  Card Sharks is open to K-2 Wildwood students of all math abilities.

Where/When:
At Wildwood after school from 3:30 to 4:30. If your child attends MAC they will be escorted there after each session. We usually have both fall and spring sessions that run for 4 weeks each, one day a week.

How:
Card Sharks relies on parent volunteers to lead the student groups. Your child will be guaranteed a spot in Card Sharks if you volunteer, and spots are usually very limited. Each group meets once a week after school for four weeks. Volunteers need to be at Wildwood from approximately 3:15 to 4:35. Typically, two volunteers work together with a group of 8 children to lead math games and activities.  All materials and instructions are supplied for you. We do our best to accommodate volunteer situations, such as younger siblings, so ask us if you aren’t sure!

Registration:
Volunteers can sign up any time using the link below, any and all help is welcome! Student registration varies session to session. Watch the Wildwood and PTO newsletters as well as take home flyers for info on registration.
