Welcome to STEM at Wildwood! My Name is Julie Niehaus Comfort (Ms.Comfort). This is my 23rd year teaching in the district, with 13 years at Wildwood. I live in Mahtomedi with my husband Jeff. Both of our children live in Duluth, because they love the outdoor opportunities it offers. Our family loves spending time together, especially in the great outdoors! Our favorite place is at the cabin, sailing, swimming, skiing and surfing. In the winter we like to make snow sculptures, snowmobile, snowshoe, ski and snowboard. My kids love to surf in Lake Superior and Rock/ice climb. I am excited to share my love of the outdoors with you this year. Some of my other hobbies include reading, walking, cooking, hiking, listening and dancing to music and playing in the dirt. It's going to be an exciting year full of challenges that will help our brains grow stronger! You will learn to collaborate with your classmates to complete engineering challenges. Your senses will be sharpened as we venture to our outdoor classroom to learn about the plants and animals on our campus. Your curiosity will be tapped into and new experiences will be around every corner. ![]() Please contact me anytime with questions, concerns or just to say hi. ![]() (651) 407-2135 Room 2300 Education: *Elementary Education/Pre-K Education- St. Cloud State University *Masters in Teacher Leadership with Science Emphasis University of MN *K-12 Reading Specialist- University of MN *I continue to take classes with an emphasis on STEM and outdoor education.
