My Name is Julie Niehaus Comfort.
I am so excited for our 2nd year of STEM at Wildwood! Last year was an amazing journey, learning together with students, parent, grandparents and commmunity members. I am extremely grateful for the many volunteers that participated last year, and hope to see you again this year!
Get ready for another exciting year of STEM! You will learn to collaborate with your classmates to complete engineering challenges. Your senses will be sharpened as we venture out to our new outdoor classroom to learn about the plants and animals on our campus.
This is my 21st year teaching in the district, with 11 years at Wildwood. I love the curiosity and "love of life" that you bring into our lives!
I live in Mahtomedi with my husband Jeff, and children Tim and Stephanie. Tim is attending his third year of college, and Stephanie is a senior in high school. Our family loves spending time together, especially in the great outdoors! Our favorite place is at the cabin, sailing, swimming, skiing and surfing. In the winter we like to make snow sculptures, snowmobile, snowshoe, ski and snowboard.I am excited to share my love of the outdoors with you this year. Some of my other hobbies include reading, walking, cooking, hiking, listening and dancing to music and playing in the dirt.
Please contact me anytime with questions, concerns or just to say hi. Let's make it a great year together!
