Welcome to Second Grade Mrs. Israel
Hello I’m Jen Israel also known as Mrs. Izzy. I am so excited to be a member of the second grade team where I can share my passion for learning with your child and the children of Mahtomedi. This is my nineteenth year of teaching. I have been a fifth grade teacher, a first grade teacher, and most recently our district’s coordinator of gifted and talented services. I am extremely excited about our year together where everything will take flight and the sky’s the limit! I attended the University of St. Thomas where as an undergraduate I majored in elementary education and sociology. I have a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction as well as my master’s in gifted and talented education. I also have my education specialist degree in leadership.
